John Obasi Joins My Zalu as Country Representative for Nigeria

My Zalu, an emerging and growing environmental awareness and education organization, is pleased to announce that Obasi John has joined My Zalu as a country representative in Nigeria, heading the book publishing and distribution department. In his new role, Obasi will lead our efforts to expand the availability of quality literature across Nigeria while also overseeing our operations in the country.

With over 10 years of experience in community evangelism, SDG advocacy, and climate activism, Obasi has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to driving positive change in Nigeria. His innovative projects have built leadership, increased awareness for youths, and catalyzed African development and social challenges.

Obasi John is a renowned community evangelist, SDGs advocate, and climate activist in Nigeria. He currently serves as the South West Zonal Coordinator for the Global Environmental and Climate Conservation Initiative (GECCI), executing innovative projects to build leadership, increase awareness among youth, and catalyze African development and social challenges.

Obasi’s grassroots advocacy efforts tackle environmental crises and provide solutions to climate change in Nigeria. He has organized numerous workshops on SDGs and climate change, both online and in person, with over 1500 participants, including government officials in Nigeria. Recently, he led a campaign on clean-up exercises in Lagos, Oyo, Abia, and Imo States in Nigeria with 200 volunteers.

Obasi’s project on drilling well water in Nigeria is currently in progress, aiming to tackle water challenges in local communities where clean water is scarce. With his knowledge, skill, and great sense of responsibility, Obasi John is skilled in his work towards creating a better future for Nigeria.

Obasi will work closely with fellow country representatives to drive forward our mission of promoting environmental care and awareness in the African region and beyond. He will also be part of our steering committee, ensuring that our efforts are strategic and impactful.

Obasi is passionate about the environment and is committed to educating future generations about the importance of protecting our planet. He is particularly excited to be part of My Zalu.
